Cape Haitien International Airport ready in 18 months

The rehabilitation of the international airport in Cap Haitien were boosted yesterday in the North in the presence of several personalities of the state.

The Minister of Public Works, Transportation and Communication (MTPTC), Jacques Gabriel and Patrick Delatour, the Minister of Tourism and Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, Edwin Parison, was present at the launching ceremony of redevelopment of the airport.
The work will cost approximately 33 million U.S. dollars and are funded by the Bank economic and social de Venezuela. The implementation will take 18 months and will be provided by a Cuban-Venezuelan firm.
One of the advisers of the President of the Republic, Jocelerme Privert, who is a former interior minister spoke in the name of Mr. Preval. Mr. Privert has announced that this time the rehabilitation work of the international airport of Cape Haitien expire.
The Director General of the NAA (National Airport Authority), Lionel Isaac, meanwhile, provided details on this new technical international airport. He used to cover 5130 square meters and 7020 square feet will be added.
